Visitors to IFA won’t want to miss EXPERT TALKS, the stage for B2B discussions among industry insiders held at IFA Global Markets, Europe’s premier B2B sourcing platform.
This year the opening keynote on Sunday 8 September at 10:30am is a Fireside Chat with Patrick van der Linden, CCO of MediaMarkt Benelux, who will explore the efforts of one of Europe’s largest electronics and appliances retailers to expand its market impact and omnichannel retailing. Immediately afterwards the star of the colour, fabric, material (CFM) design world, Anouk Groen, will discuss what’s hot design-wise in 2024.
The programme on Monday 9 September starts with a Fireside Chat with Paolo Falcioni, the Director General of Europe’s Home Appliance Association, APPLiA. Then Dr Dean Armstrong from Virscient will cover The Future of Connected Gadgets, followed by Paul Struhsaker, Executive Director of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), introducing Ki, the new cordless kitchen standard.
Anyone interested in smart homes won’t want to miss the presentations from Adam Simon, Global MD of Context, also on 9 September, analysing the smart home market while Jos Bruins, Standardisation Expert at Siemens Thread Group, unravels the advantages of the wireless mesh networking protocol, Thread, in his talk.
On Tuesday 10 September, experts Alberto Antinucci and Etienne Finet will sit down for editorial interviews about the challenges and nuances of China sourcing. The Director of IPT, Edward Elliot-Square, will also share insights into the world of mobile phones, computers, and consumer electronics brokers and traders.
