Perks for trade visitors at IFA Berlin 2024, the “must-attend event for retailers”

In addition to providing trade visitors and IFA Retail members with a unique opportunity to meet partners and suppliers all in one place, IFA also offers a number of special services to ensure they make the most of their time at the show

IFA has always been an efficient networking platform, allowing for intensive dialogue between the retailers and suppliers gathered at the show, while providing an opportunity to experience product innovations firsthand. Because trade visitors have so much to see and do, IFA is offering a wide range of services and benefits to optimise their experience.

For Peter Zyprian, IFA Ambassador for Retail, IFA is nothing less than a “must-attend event for retailers,” and for this reason the show’s organisers strive to make trade attendees’ experience as effective and enjoyable as possible, even before they head to Berlin. Benefiting from IFA’s cooperation with the travel industry, trade visitors can take advantage of the special conditions negotiated for them on hotel bookings via Event Beds, and for travel with the Deutsche Bahn and Lufthansa.

Once they have arrived at the show, trade attendees will be greeted at the IFA Trade Visitor Reception – an essential point of contact for retailers – and benefit from early access to Messe Berlin from 9:30 a.m. onwards. This enables them to obtain personalised information at the exclusive info desk and take part in special guided tours of the top new products and trends presented by suppliers at this year’s show (registration for guided tours has been open since 1 July 2024).

Conference rooms are yet another benefit for trade visitors at IFA. Located right on the show grounds and with a capacity for up to 10 people, these rooms can be used free of charge. In addition, trade attendee bags and extensive trade press offers will be available.

For busy visitors who need to get from one part of the show to another quickly, a shuttle service is also available on the show grounds, as well as outside the Messe Berlin grounds to the IFA Trade Visitors Reception, and to and from the Global Markets exhibition at STATION Berlin.

To fuel up before a busy day, retailers will be treated to an exclusive breakfast at the trade visitor reception. At lunchtime, they can enjoy different lunch specials, available from 12:00-2.30 p.m. between 6 and 10 September in the Brandenburg Restaurant in Hall 24, a perfect place to hold business meetings over lunch.

For those visitors looking for a way to round off the day, the IFA Afterwork Club will be open every evening from 6:00-10.00 pm between 6 and 10 September while the summer garden at Messe Berlin will also be buzzing after the show’s opening hours with special concerts and activities.

“Nowhere else can retailers prepare themselves so perfectly for the most important and best-selling time of the year and see what the future holds,” says Mr Zyprian. To further enhance trade visitors’ experience, IFA has launched a new app that makes it possible to receive personalised content and never miss a relevant topic, appointment, event, or symposium.
