TCL announces partnerships with Microsoft and Bang & Olufsen in its global press conference at IFA 2024.
At TCL’s IFA press conference on Thursday, Carlos Li, CEO of TCL EUBG, was joined on stage by representatives from Microsoft and Bang & Olufsen, adding their presence for TCL’s IFA-exclusive. Carlos Li was keen to point out that the company’s global press conference happening at IFA was “a momentous occasion”: “As IFA has its big 100th anniversary, we are celebrating 25 years of global excellence” he said.
The Chinese electronics giant revealed a new range of products including built-in refrigerators, air-conditioners and washer dryers; but it was the new partnerships in both TVs and smartphones that inspired special interest. As audio partner for the latest NXTFRAME TV Pro range, Duncan McCue, VP, Strategic Partnerships for Bang & Olufsen, explained how the same acousticians and engineers behind the brand’s famous quality sound have applied their expertise to this TCL collaboration. Similarly, when Jeannette Baasner, Microsoft’s Technology Lead joined Stefan Streit, CMO of TCL EUBG, on stage, it was clear that the next evolution of its innovative NXTPAPER smartphone series is taking a first step into AI-integration seriously.
From the smallest to the biggest of display technologies, TCL continues to be a global pioneer in the use of Mini-LED for big-screen home entertainment, and its brand-leading 115inch QM89 TV can be experienced in person at IFA this year.
