Narwal makes waves at IFA with the launch of new cutting-edge AI robot vacuum Freo Z Ultra
Smart home cleaning expert Narwal debuted its Freo Z Ultra next-gen AI-powered robot vacuum yesterday, causing quite a stir on the first day of the show
Narwal’s new home cleaning robot packs the latest advancements in obstacle avoidance and navigation, as well as user-friendly and even pet-friendly features, while ensuring superior vacuuming and mopping performance.
The new state-of-the-art cleaning solution from Narwal has the ability to manoeuvre around any obstacle thanks to its advanced obstacle avoidance feature. With two 1200p RGB cameras boasting 136-degree ultra-wide viewing angles, the robot vacuum sees everything in its path. Meanwhile, its dual artificial intelligence (AI) chips quickly detect more than 120 household objects in real-time with millimetre-level precision. And, thanks to its LiDAR SLAM 4.0 technology, the Narwal Freo Z Ultra is able to create a 3D map of the objects on the floor for a more precise and accurate view.
Not only is the Narwal Freo Z Ultra able to aptly navigate any home layout, it also knows how to most effectively clean each floor. Thanks to its advanced Proactive AI DirtSense 2.0 technology, it can quickly differentiate dry dirt from wet messes in real time and apply the appropriate cleaning strategy. And, the robot vac can adjust mopping temperature depending on the kind of dirt it detects.
With its advanced EdgeSwing Cleaning technology, the Narwal Freo Z Ultra also makes sure that edges and corners are cleaned accurately. Maintaining 7-12N downward pressure, the device adjusts its cleaning angle along walls and baseboards while its Reuleaux triangular scrubbing mops enhance coverage in corners.
For pet owners, the Narwal Freo Z Ultra has a special pet-friendly cleaning mode that can detect where pets are and focus on cleaning other parts of the home until they move. The intelligent device won’t disturb its human users either. Operating at 55-58dB—half the industry average noise level—the robot vacuum cleans quietly. Not only that, the large 2.5L dustbin bag with dust compression only needs emptying every 120 days.
In addition to its intelligent features, the Narwal Freo Z Ultra is equipped with 12,000 Pa hyper suction power that can suck up more than 99% of solid particles with ease. Despite spinning at a rate of 4,400 rpm, the innovative Zero Tangling Floating Brush 2.0 remains tangle free thanks to its Single-Sided Balancing Design. And thanks to the robot’s excellent vision, it can quickly differentiate different floor types and carpets, raising the mop as high as 12mm to avoid getting fabrics wet while also applying the right amount of suction or mopping pressure to effectively clean any kind of flooring.
A first for Europe
The launch of the Narwal Freo Z Ultra at IFA this year represents Narwal’s first offline product launch activity for the European market. “This launch reflects our commitment to advancing technology and innovation in robotic intelligence. It marks the start of our new mission in the European market to deliver state-of-the-art cleaning solutions that enhance daily life,” said Junbin Zhang, CEO of Narwal.
According to Mr Zhang, Narwal’s smart cleaning products are set to enhance the daily lives of users in the region “by relieving consumers from tedious chores and improving their home maintenance experience across Europe.” For the brand, this objective aligns clearly with the IFA’s “Innovation for All” slogan, as it caters to all household needs and puts cutting-edge technology to work to free users from cleaning floors so they can spend time on “the more important things in life”.
