Global Product Technology Innovation Awards 2024 winners announced at IFA
Since they were established in 2014, the Global Product Technology Innovation Awards (GPTIAwards) have celebrated, recognised and rewarded excellence across the whole spectrum of innovative companies every year. IFA once again proudly hosted the prestigious prize-giving on Friday, marking a decade of the awards as part of its centenary festivities.
GPTIAwards has become a key indicator of the global consumer electronics industry. In addition to celebrating technological innovation, it acts as a chronicler and catalyst for the advancement of the tech sector, observing the emergence and dynamic evolution of numerous groundbreaking technologies.
Following intense competition and expert evaluation, the GPTIAwards 2024 has honoured more than 20 companies. The “Product Technology Gold Award” went to brands including Bosch, Siemens, Midea, AEG, TCL, Miele, Sony, Hisense, TECNO, Samsung, CHiQ, Ecovacs, Dyson, TINECO, Philips, BOE, JMGO, Jura, and Fitbit. While other notable mentions included Liebherr, BMW, Beko, Loewe, Tesla, IMOU, BLUETTI, and Vestel, there was stronger than ever representation from Chinese companies accelerating globalisation with advanced technology.
Midea has received the “Innovative Heating Technology Gold Award”, the “Integrated Fresh Air Technology Innovation Gold Award” and the “4WD Wind Control Technology Innovation Gold Award” for its three standout products, that is, the CirQHP Indoor Hybrid for overseas market, the Fresh Air Explorer Residential Central AC and the Air Virtuoso T3. Two awards for TCL honoured its A300 Series NXTFRAME TV with the “Lifestyle TV Design Innovation Gold Award” and its Free Built-In Refrigerator earned the “Free Built-In Design Innovation Gold Award”. Hisense Laser TV scored the “Large Screen Display Technology Gold Award”. CHiQ garnered two golds including the “Smart Home Appliance Brand Award” and the “Extraordinary Audiovisual Experiences Gold Award”. ECOVACS won the “Home Cleaning Robot Brand Award” and the “Indoor Cleaning Solutions Gold Award”. TECNO was honoured with the “Design and Technology Integration Innovation Gold Award” and the “AR Immersive PC Gaming Experience Innovation Gold Award”.Gold award also for TINECO, BOE and JMGO, reinforced the significant contribution to the industry from China’s innovators.
